
P-Bruins Fall To Devils 2-1

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins fell to the Lowell Devils 2-1 Sunday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins got their lone goal from Levi Nelson. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, January 1 at 7:05 p.m. for Kid's Hat Night against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
The Devils took a 1-0 lead at the 7:23 mark of the opening period. Ben Walter tallied his ninth goal of the season, while Olivier Magnan recorded the lone assist. Lowell led 1-0 going into the first intermission.
The P-Bruins tied the game at one at the 4:44 mark of the second period. Jared Ross took a shot from the right point, but the puck was deflected in front of the net. It landed on the stick of Nelson, who picked it up and scored his first goal of the season.
Lowell retook the lead at the 8:10 mark of the third period, while on the power play. Rob Davison netted his third goal of the season, with Nick Palmieri and Tim Sestito picking up the assists. The Devils went on to the 2-1 victory.
Dany Sabourin stopped 19 of 21 shots for the P-Bruins, while Jeff Frazee made 30 saves for the Devils. The P-Bruins were 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to action Saturday at The Tsongas Arena against the Devils at 7:00 p.m. Providence wraps up the weekend Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Arena versus the Manchester Monarchs at 3:00 p.m. Information on P-Bruins tickets for the 2009-10 season can be obtained by calling the team ticket office at (401) 273-5000 or by logging onto the team website at www.providencebruins.com.
