
Owlz Wreck Idaho Falls in Win

The Orem Owlz rolled past the Idaho Falls Chukars on Friday night, winning by a final score of 13-2 in the final game in the Pioneer League's first half of the season.
The Owlz tied a season-high by rallying 20 hits in the game, with eight players in the lineup picking up multiple hits.
Outfielder Brandon Marsh returned to the lineup for the first time since injuring his thumb on June 28th, going 2-5 with a run scored and a run batted in, while playing the entire game in right field.
Also picking up two-hit performances on the night were Leonardo Rivas, Franklin Torres and Brandon Sandoval .
Of the 13 runs scored on the night, five players scored multiple runs, including Ryan Vega, Manuel Guzman, Franklin Torres, Jeyson Sanchez and Brandon Sandoval.
A season-high four players in the starting lineup picked up three hits on the evening, including Ryan Vega, Harrison Wenson, Manuel Guzman and Jeyson Sanchez.
Wenson, who started as the Owlz designated hitter, tied a career high with four runs batted in on the night, including each of the Owlz' first three.
Jeyson Sanchez, who hit a monstrous home run in Thursday night's win, continued to dominate at the plate with two more home runs for the Owlz.
Each of the homers were towering shots that cleared the 410-foot left-center field fence.
The second of the homers scored three runs to cap a 6-run fifth inning, that made the score 11-0 Orem.
In the meantime of the Owlz' 11-run explosion, the Owlz' starting pitcher Cole Duensing was literally unhittable in his second start of the season.
Duensing picked up the first win of his Owlz career by pitching five scoreless inning, without allowing any hits or any walks, exiting the game with a no-hitter in progress.
Duensing was replaced by left-handed pitcher Evan Smith, who allowed two runs on three hits in the sixth inning, alloting for the only runs scored by Idaho Falls on the night.
Keith Rogalla closed out the game for the Owlz with a scoreless eigth and ninth inning, racking up a career-high four strikeouts in sealing Orem's 13-2 win.
The Owlz' final win in the first half of the Pioneer League season caps their record at a league-best 26-11-1.
The Owlz will continue their four-game series with the Idaho Falls Chukars tomorrow night in Game One of the second half of the Pioneer League season, scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
The Owlz will have Mayky Perez on the mound, with coverage beginning on the Orem Owlz Baseball Network with the Voice of the Owlz, Steven Cusumano, 15 minutes prior to first pitch.
