The Orem Owlz will re-launch their online home, www.oremowlz.com, on Thursday April 27, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. The website will feature a new look, easy-to-find information and pictures, and an easy-to-use merchandise shop. The site was designed in-house by the Orem Owlz IT department.
"We recognize the importance of the internet in today's market," said co-GM Ryan Pace. "Our site www.oremowlz.com was cutting edge a year and a half ago, but we felt it was time for an update."
Using input from fans, assistant general manager Sarah Hansen and IT manager Julie Fiscus spent months creating a site that is truly built with the OWLZ fan in mind. The front page features a beautiful panoramic photo of the Home of the Owlz taken by Joe Mock of www.baseballparks.com, as well as feature stories, links to buying tickets and merchandise and links to listen to OWLZ broadcasts live on The Zone 960 AM.
A new feature that fans will like is the ability to download the 2006 game and promotional schedule to their MS Outlook calendar. This feature will allow fans to have the OWLZ schedule at their virtual finger tips, with information on their computers and PDA's that support MS Outlook.
The virtual store also has a new name and facelift. Now named "The Perch," it has been redesigned to help the online consumer find what they want faster, as well as organize carts and check out with ease. "The Perch" will continue to accept all major credit cards.
