PLYMOUTH - The Owen Sound Attack scored on their first two shots of the game, built a 3-0 lead after one period and defeated the Plymouth Whalers, 3-1, in an Ontario Hockey League game played Wednesday at Compuware Arena.

In between, Kyle Hope scored his sixth goal of the season for Owen Sound at 3:37 of the period.
Trailing 3-0 after one period, the Whalers cut the lead to 3-1 in the second period on Carter Sandlak's team-leading 15th of the year at 10:29 of the second period.
That's as close as Plymouth got in the game, despite outshooting Owen Sound, 44-36, in the game.
Plymouth remains home on Friday, hosting Oshawa at 7:05 pm at Compuware Arena (7 pm, CN-900 TV).
