Chico Outlaws News Release
The Outlaws were one hit by the Long Beach Armada, but that one hit is all they would need as the Outlaws beat the Long Beach Armada one to nothing on Saturday night. The only hit for the Outlaws didn't come untill the bottom of the eighth inning when Jason Matteucci hit the go ahead home run to deep right field. Jake McKinley pitched an almost perfect seven innings striking out five, but it was Jessie Oster who earned the victory, his third of the season, pitching a scoreless eighth. Todd Gelatka shut the door in the ninth to earn his GBL leading tenth save of the season. The Outlaws are now one game ahead in first place with three games left to play in the first half of the 2007 season. The final game of the four game series will be tomorrow night, Sunday, at 6:05 at Nettleton Stadium.
