March 5, 2012 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Williamsport Outlaws News Release

Dover, NJ - As the Federal Hockey League regular season champions approach the 2012 playoffs, New Jersey Outlaws took time to visit North Dover Elementary School. On Wednesday, February 22 New Jersey Outlaws' players Craig Cole, Dan Mercer, Matt Miller, and Jamie Zaleski participated in North Dover's "˜Read Across America' week. The players spent the afternoon reading Dr. Seuss books to students, signing autographs, and answering questions. The students were enthusiastic and seemed to be in awe of professional hockey players being in their school.

Around two hundred North Dover students will be attending the March 10th playoff game as a reward for completing the Outlaws Learning Incentive Program. Each student completed assignments given by the teachers over a four week period, earning a ticket to the game. The Learning Incentive Program has gained attention from schools in Morris, Sussex, Bergan, and Passaic counties and has become quite successful. Clare Monarch of North Dover Elementary who helped organize the event commented on the program: "Thank you, the NJ Outlaw Organization, and the players for supporting students with this outstanding program. In all my years of being an educator, I've never known a more generous and inspiring opportunity for students."

The New Jersey Outlaws are the 2011-12 regular season champions and take the first seed in the Commissioner's Cup Playoffs. The playoff games begin Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th on home ice in Wayne, NJ at the Capital One Ice Vault Arena. Playoff tickets are available for purchase by calling (973) 886-9335 or by visiting www.NewJerseyOutlaws.com.
