Outlaws Set to Host 1st Round of FHL Playoffs

Wayne, NJ - The New Jersey Outlaws are heading into the Federal Hockey League Feldmeier Corporation Commissioner Cup playoffs this weekend as they host the Cape Cod Bluefins. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, March 9th at 7:35pm and Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday, March 10th at 7:35pm. Both games will be held at the Capital One Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey.

The two teams met 11 times throughout the course of the regular season, in which the Outlaws posted a very strong 10-1 record against the Bluefins. The only blemish the Outlaws suffered against Cape Cod was a shootout loss. Over the course of the 11 regular season games, the Outlaws outscored Cape Cod by a 67-28 margin.

Both teams are making their debut in the FHL playoffs. The Bluefins are in their second season in the league. They failed to make the playoffs in their first season as the Cape Cod Barons. The Outlaws, in their inaugural season, won the FHL regular season championship while posting a 42-10 record and amassing 124 points. The 42 victories and 124 points are both FHL records.
