Outlaws single game tickets go on sale Saturday

CHICO, CALIF - The Chico Outlaws will open up single game ticket sales to the general public this Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the University of Phoenix, 500 Orient Street in downtown Chico. This will be the first chance for fans to purchase tickets for any of the Outlaws 40 home games during the 2006 season, including Opening Night June 2, the Independence Day celebration July 3 and the first-ever Golden Baseball League All-Star Game July 18.
"This is the day fans circle their calendars and look forward to," Outlaws general manager Bob Linscheid said of Saturday's ticket sales event. "We've worked hard to put together a great blend of entertainment, giveaways, theme nights and special events...and we're confident Outlaws fans will enjoy what should be a special summer at Nettleton Stadium. But if past years have taught us anything, it's that folks need to get there early this Saturday while good seats are still available, especially for the premium games."
The Outlaws June 2nd Opening Night game versus the Fullerton Flyers will feature fireworks, a bobblehead giveaway and a live appearance by "Wheel of Fortune" TV show host Pat Sajak. July 3rd will mark the Outlaws annual Independence Day celebration, with a spectacular fireworks show following the game against the San Diego Surf Dawgs. Two other fireworks shows (Friday, June 9 and Saturday, August 26) are scheduled, with the Zooperstars (June 9), Myron Noodleman (June 17), Krazy Karacters (June 30, July 1-2) and the Blues Brothers (August 25) highlighting the Outlaws special entertainment acts. Giveaway items include magnet schedules (June 3), caps (June 9, July 28 and August 26), logo baseballs (June 16), t-shirts (June 17), straw hats (June 30), pennants (July 1) and sports bags (July 15).
Outlaws season ticket plans are still on sale at the team's downtown office, 555 Main Street, Suite 200. Single game ticket sales at the University of Phoenix location are for this Saturday only; all ticket sales after May 13 will be at the Outlaws main office. Internet ticket sales at www.ChicoOutlawsBaseball.com will begin at 2pm on Saturday. Phone orders will be accepted beginning Monday, May 15.
