
Outlaws Shutout in Baltimore

MESQUITE, TX. - Mesquite Outlaws lose 0-6 against the Baltimore Blast in Towson, Maryland at SECU Arena.
The first quarter started off with shots from both the Outlaws and the Blast, before finally in almost the 8th minute, Moises Gonzales scored for the Blast. Blast got another goal with 45 seconds left in the quarter, scored by Jonatas Melo. The first quarter ended with the Blast up 2-0. In the third minute of the second quarter, Maxi Schenfeld received a blue card for a reckless tackle. Unfortunately for the Outlaws, the Blast were able to kill the two-minute penalty. Blast scored a third goal in the 8th minute of the quarter, scored by Melo, his second of the game. The Outlaws bench then received a yellow card for bench misconduct, the 5 minutes being served by goalkeeper Juan Vences Lujano. The Outlaws took 6 more shots on goal, but once again came up empty, the Blast leading 3-0 into the second half.
In the third quarter, Juan Pereira scored the fourth Blast goal in the second minute. The Outlaws continued to take shots but still none making it into the net. The third quarter, Outlaws still sitting with zero goals going into the final quarter. Sebastian Mendez took a quick shot 27 seconds into the fourth quarter but was blocked by Nelson Santana for the Blast. Outlaws, looking to create a spark, replaced goalkeeper Eduardo "Pollo" Cortes with Erik Macias as 6th attacker. The Blast got their fifth goal of the night, as this change happened in the ninth minute, Melo getting a hattrick. Less than 30 seconds later, Blast scored their sixth goal of the game, goalkeeper Mike Zierhoffer throwing the ball into the empty net. The Outlaws continued to switch between using 6th attacker and Pollo Cortes, but with no luck on getting a single goal during the game. Blast shutting out the Outlaws 6-0 in Baltimore.
The Outlaws are now 11-9-2, and the Blast are now 13-7-3.
The next game for the Outlaws is March 30th, against the Chihuahua Savage at the Corner Sport Arena in Chihuahua, Mexico. Kickoff for the game is at 9:00 pm CDT.
