Outlaws Set MLL Attendance, Win-Streak Record

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws set a pair of Major League Lacrosse records in Thursday's 16-7 win against the New York Lizards. The club continued the team's annual tradition of setting a Major League Lacrosse attendance record as 31,0 19 fans packed Sports Authority Field at Mile High to watch the club's Week 10 game victory that improved Denver's record to 10-0. The 10 consecutive wins to start the 2013 season mark a MLL record, topping the 2005 Bayhawks' 9-0 start.
"We are extremely proud of this historic achievement and breaking the attendance record yet again. Over the past eight years, Outlaws fans have proven to be the best, helping us to make each Independence Day Celebration game bigger and better. We are grateful for their continued support of our team and this Mile High tradition" stated Ted Tseng, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Denver Outlaws.
Fans were treated to a Mile High Fourth of July fireworks show after the game, which was presented by Arrow Electronics and offered a close-proximity experience with fireworks launched from inside the bowl at Sports Authority Field. The fireworks were paired with a music video tribute on the stadium's brand new 220 feet long by 40 foot high THUNDERVISION screen.
Since their inaugural season in 2006, the Outlaws have set a professional lacrosse attendance record with each Independence Day Celebration game. Last July 4, the Outlaws set an attendance record for the seventh-straight year as 30,128 fans watched the team defeat the Ohio Machine 17-13.
A total of 219,606 fans have come through the turnstiles at Sports Authority Field for the six games that have been played to date. The increased fan support has translated onto the field, as is demonstrated by the team's 5-2 record on Independence Day Celebration games.
The Outlaws return to Denver for their final home game of the season on Saturday, July 27 at 12 p.m. against the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Tickets for that game can be purchased online at www.DenverOutlaws.com or over the phone by calling 303-OUTLAWS.
