Outlaws Ready for Game #5 against the River Otters

TONIGHT'S GAME: For the fifth time this season, the Kansas City Outlaws team up against the Missouri River Otters this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Kemper Arena. The Outlaws and River Otters have split the first two meetings, with both teams' victories at their respective home arenas. After today, Kansas City and Missouri are scheduled 10 more times through the end of the season.

INSIDE THE OUTLAWS: Six games at Kemper Arena have resulted in four wins, as they improve to a 4-2 home record at home last night against Quad City. Overall, Kansas City looks to gain two points on one of the four teams that are ahead of them in the Western Division. Last night was the second straight 10-goal game for the Outlaws with a loss to Flint 7-3 on Wednesday and a win last night 6-4.

ABOUT THE RIVER OTTERS: The Missouri River Otters have lost three out of their last five away games, with an over all record 11-7-2. They are in third place in the UHL's Western Division, ahead of the Quad City Mallards and the Outlaws. Kevin Reiter, goaltender, ranks second in the league with a .913 saves percentage. On the strength of a scintillating performance in net from Kevin Reiter, the Missouri River Otters defeated the defending champion Muskegon Fury 2-1 in a shootout Friday night at the Family Arena.

TOYS FOR TOTS: The Kansas City Outlaws are collecting Toys for Tots at Outlaws home games tonight; Friday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, December 15 at 7 p.m.; Friday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy with them to the games. The toys will be distributed to needy kids throughout the Kansas City area this holiday season.
