Outlaws Drop 15-8 Decision to Rattlers

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws (5-4) were unable to make a comeback and defeat the Rochester Rattlers (2-7) this evening, losing 15-8 at PAETEC Park in Rochester, New York.

Although Outlaws midfielder Max Seibald scored the first goal of the evening after three minutes of play, the Rattlers' offense responded less than a minute later with a 3-0 run. The first half continued to belong to the Rattlers as they outscored the Outlaws 9-3. Rattlers attacker Ned Crotty began his offensive surge in the first half, recording four goals.

The Outlaws relied on Drew Westervelt as their primary offensive asset, completing a hat trick in the third quarter, and finishing with four goals on the night.

The Outlaws offense received other goals from Seibald at the :44 mark of the fourth quarter, Brian Langtry at the 2:44 mark of the fourth quarter, and Brendan Mundorf at the 13:52 mark of the first quarter.

Rochester goalie John Galloway put together another impressive outing, holding the Outlaws to eight goals on 22 shots on goal (.636 pct.). The rookie out of Syracuse saved 19 shots when the two teams played at INVESCO Field at Mile High one week ago.
