Outlaws Defeat Sockers in Game 1 of Playoffs

MESQUITE, Texas - Texas Outlaws won 6-4 against the San Diego Sockers at Mesquite Arena.

The first quarter of the game started with a goal from Vini Dantas in the 2nd minute, assisted by Jorge Deleon. A second goal was sored for the Outlaws in the 11th minute by Andy Reyes. Outlaws were up 2-0 at the end of the 1st. In the first minute of the second quarter, Drew Ruggles scored for the Sockers. Ten seconds later David Ortiz scored his first goal of the game for the Outlaws. In the 12th minute, Charlie Gonzales scored for the Sockers, putting the score Outlaws up 3-2 going into the second half.

In the third quarter, Darren Mitchell scored for the Outlaws in the 6th minute, unassisted. In the fourth quarter, Kraig Chiles scored for the sockers in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Emmanuel Aguirre scored the 5th goal for the Outlaws. In the 11th minute, Ortiz scored his second goal of the game with an empty netter. In the last 6 seconds, Mitchell Cardenas scored for the Sockers with an extra attacker. Outlaws winning 6-4.
