
Outlaws bring back former goalie

(Kansas City, MO --- November 9, 2004) â Kansas City Outlaws General Manager Joe Bucchino announced on Tuesday that Tyson Gajda, who tried out for Outlaws in training camp, has been called back to the team as an emergency backup after Mike Buckley suffered a concussion on Sunday in Flint.
Gajda, a Massachusetts resident from Oswego State in New York, practiced with the team today and is an active player beginning Friday at the undefeated Muskegon Fury at 6:30 p.m.., which is available on the radio on 1340 KCKN or through free live audio webcast at www.kansascityoutlaws.com. Gajda will remain the emergency backup until Buckley is cleared by doctors to resume game activity. The Outlaws practice at Ice Sports in Shawnee, KS, tomorrow (Wednesday, November 10) from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Buckley suffered the concussion in the third period of Sunday's game against the Flint Generals, which saw 146 penalty minutes in the third period, most of which came after Buckley's injury. The game was filled with fights, as the two teams tallied a total of 166 penalty minutes in the sixty minute contest.
