January 11, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Erie Otters News Release
ERIE, PA - The Otters returned to Erie Insurance Arena on Friday night, where they took on Owen Sound in the first of back-to-back home games against the Attack. Erie got off to a quick start with a goal from Emmett Sproule off of a 2-on-1 pass from Petr Cajka. Owen Sound answered only minutes later with a goal from Jackson Doherty to even things up.
In the second, the teams struggled to find the back of the net. This trend continued to the third period, despite a number of chances from each side, and the teams headed to overtime to decide a winner,
In overtime, Erie patiently handled the puck, waiting for the right opportunity to strike until Gera Poddubnyi connected with Petr Cajka, who found the back of the net to give the Otters their second straight OT win.
The Otters will be back in action on home ice tomorrow night for a rematch against the Attack at 7PM.
