Erie Otters News Release
The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced that they have traded center Andrew Yogan to the Peterborough Petes in exchange for Erie's sixth round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection and two conditional draft picks (Windsor's second round choice in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection and Peterborough's third round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection).
Yogan leaves the Otters after playing in 108 regular season games for the Otters, scoring 45 goals and adding 48 assists in an Erie uniform. Among the highlights in his Otters career included a six-point game against the Oshawa Generals on January 30, 2009, and winning the team's Most Sportsmanlike Award at the 2009 Summer Awards Banquet.
He was originally acquired by the Otters along with a second round draft pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for the rights to goaltender Brandon Maxwell on November 7, 2008.
Drafted by the New York Rangers in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Yogan is heading into overage year of OHL eligibility. During a brief spell with the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League at the end of the season, Yogan had two goals and an assist in two games.
