
Donskov Named New Assistant GM

LONDON, ONTARIO: General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that Misha Donskov has accepted the role of Assistant General Manager for the London Knights Hockey Club effective immediately. Donskov, entering his 3rd season as an Assistant Coach with the organization, will balance both roles over the course of the season.
"Misha has an extensive knowledge of the game of hockey and will be an asset to our front office staff," Mark Hunter stated. "His organizational skills combined with his business sense will be a perfect fit for our club moving forward."
Donskov has an extensive hockey resume having played in Canada, the United States, Sweden and Norway. Prior to coming to London, Misha spent eight years working in the National Hockey League within Hockey Development Programming, Community Development, Marketing, Hockey Operations, and Pro Scouting with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Atlanta Thrashers.
Donskov first joined the London Knights working closely with the hockey operations department while he pursued a Masters Degree in Kinesiology with a Specialization in Coaching Education at The University of Western Ontario. He completed his Masters Degree, December, 2010. Additionally, Donskov holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Finance from Miami (OH) University. Misha has just returned from Ohio where he and his family own and operate a hockey school - Donskov Hockey Development, LLC., out of Columbus, Ohio.
Donskov will be the main point of contact for all Public Relations and Media Inquiries - sharing the responsibilities with Marketing Manager, Natalie Wakabayshi.
