Erie Otters News Release

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have acquired a fifth round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for Windsor's fifth round pick in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.

The fifth round pick was originally acquired by the Otters as part of a trade before last year's Priority Selection that sent the 58th overall pick in that draft to Windsor.

Despite dealing away their fifth round selection, the Otters will still be busy on Saturday. Erie owns a total of 17 picks, including five of the first 51 selections during the course of the selection process. Erie will select 11th in the first round, and 10th throughout most of the remaining rounds.

The 2010 OHL Priority Selection will be held this Saturday (May 1st) via the Internet and conference call in all 20-member team locations beginning at 9 a.m.
