Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League has announced today that they have decided not to renew the contract of Assistant Coach Jeff Reid for the 2010-2011 season. Reid, a native of Owen Sound has spent the last three seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Attack overseeing the defensive operations, practices and team travel and is coming off of a two year agreement that began in 2008.

"Going forward, we felt this was the best move for all parties involved." Stated Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray. "Jeff is a very capable coach and a good person. This is going to free him up to explore some other options, while spending time at his home in Guelph with his family. It also allows the organization to focus our efforts on building our staff and player personnel for a successful 2010-2011 season." DeGray added that the Attack has a commitment to the fans and the City of Owen Sound to do whatever necessary to make this team successful.

During his time with the Attack, Jeff has spent time assisting in children's hockey practices around the area while being involved on the Ontario Hockey League Under 16 program and serving as an Assistant Coach for Team Ontario at the 2010 World Under 17 Challenge in Timmins, ON.

The entire Attack organization wishes Jeff the best of luck in his future endeavors.
