SUDBURY, Ont. – Benoit Pouliot scored three times to lead the Sudbury Wolves to a 6-1 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played this afternoon in front of 3,008 at the Sudbury Arena.

Ryan McDonough added a goal and three assists for the Wolves while Bobby Chaumont and Mike Mills rounded out the scoring.

Derrick Bagshaw netted the lone Otters goal. Sudbury led 2-1 after one and 4-1 heading into the third.

Josh Disher took the loss for the Otters allowing all six goals on 39 shots. Patrick Ehelechner posted the victory with a 27-save performance.

The three stars of the game were all from the Wolves. Pouliot was the first, McDonough the second and Chaumont the third.

The Otters return to action in their 2004-2005 Home Opener this Saturday (October 2nd) when the Kitchener Rangers pay a visit to the Tullio Arena for a 7:30 p.m. start.

Skeeter's Clubhouse and Grill invites fans to kick-off the season during the Otters Home Opener Pre-Game Party from 5-7 p.m. in the picnic area at Jerry Uht Park. Hammered will provide the entertainment during the free event with clowns and face painters for the kids and much more. Food and beverages will be available. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Caring Place.
