
Otters Lose Matinee in Ottawa, 6-1

Ottawa, ON - The Erie Otters came into Canada's capital and lost to the East Division leading Ottawa 67's Sunday afternoon, 6-1.
The 67's took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission after goals by Nicholas Foglia, Cody Ceci and Shane Prince.
Jake Evans put the Otters on the board midway through the second with his third goal in two games. Mike Vlajkov was stripped by Evans in the high slot, and the rookie forward fired a shot through the blocker of Michael Nishi for his seventh goal of the season.
Dalton Smith put the 67's back up by three in the last minute of the second to make it 4-1 going into the third period. The Otters outshot the 67's in the second, 14-12.
Tyler Toffoli scored his league-leading 44th goal of the season and Ryan Van Stralen added the sixth Ottawa goal late to give the 67's a 6-1 victory.
Devin Williams made 41 saves in his first game since his dazzling 61-save performance against Niagara Wednesday night. The Otters power play went 0-for-9 against the 67's penalty kill.
