Jay Gilbert had the overtime winner, as the red-hot Owen Sound Attack escaped the WFCU Centre with a 5-4 win on Saturday night.
Alexander Khokhlachev had a pair of goals and Chris Marchese continued his torrid scoring pace with a goal and an assist, as the Spitfires (25-28-3-2) finished the weekend with three of a possible six points.
Daniel Catenacci, Joseph Blandisi, Cameron Brace and Chris Bigras had the other goals for the Attack (28-21-3-4), wholeapfrogged Sarnia to move into fourth place in the Western Conference.
Trailing 4-2, KoKo scored matching power play goals (his first since January 19th). The first came at 16:11 of the second period. The tying goal came just 34 seconds into the third.
Gilbert's winner came 56 seconds into OT, just one second after a Nick Ebert elbowing penalty expired.
Jaroslav Pavelka made 29 saves in a losing cause.
