Otters Look for Eighth Straight Series Win

LOOK BACK AT LAST GAME: Starter Rich Hawkins threw six scoreless innings and Andrew Clark homered in the 3-0 Otters win on Saturday night at Washington. Evansville rallied for the lead in the fourth inning when RF C.J. Henry reached on a one out double and team- mate Nick Schwaner scored him on an RBI single to right field. Lead- ing 1-0, the Otters added to their lead when the next hitter, Clark, hit a two- run home run to right field. Hawkins allowed just five hits and three walks. Reliever Scott Weissman struck out five consecutive batters in his 2.0 innings and closer Eric Massingham earned his sixth save in the win, his 49th as an Evansville Otter.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING: Outfielder Nick Schwaner had one hit last night, extending his hitting streak to 10 games. Clark added one hit (a home run) in the win yesterday, bringing his hitting streak to nine games. Designated hitter Taylor Black has a six game hitting streak entering today's play.

WHAT'S AT STAKE? Evansville is looking for their eighth consecutive series win . A victo- ry would put the Otters three games ahead of the Wild Things in the standings. Evansville (3-2 this roadtrip) is looking to return home with a winning week away from historic Bosse Field.

FUN FACTS: Evansville has jockeyed wins and losses in each of their last sev- en games.
