Southern Illinois Miners News Release
Marion, Illinois- The Southern Illinois Miners have a six game homestead beginning on Tuesday which brings a week full of promotions to Rent OnePark. The Miners host the Gateway Grizzles on Tuesday, June 18-20 and the Florence Freedom Friday, June 21-23.
Two for Tuesday sponsored by Heartland Regional Medical Center and Withers Broadcasting- June 18
The first 1000 fans through the gates will receive a Miners Mini Bat. It will also be OctoberFest night at the ballpark!
The Julie Inc. Reading Program is available for fans to turn in one book mark and get one ticket to the game for free.
Winsday sponsored by River Radio- June 19
Tonight is Winsday Wednesday! Fans will receive one free ticket to another game upon a win from the Miners.
It is also Miners Care Night. Many nonprofit groups of Southern Illinois will be out enjoying the game. Julie Inc. Reading Program is also available tonight. Silver Sluggers can present their membership card and get a free ticket for every Wednesday home game.

Thursday at Rent One Park is 60's Night, Disney Night and Black and White Night!
This night we will venture back into the 1960s and enjoy music and themes that show tribute to the decade. Also, Disney characters will be on hand, including a princess singing the National Anthem as the Miners wrap up their series with the Gateway Grizzles.

On Friday the Miners will be hosting KC Night and Guys Night Out. Spectacular Fireworks will be directly after the game! The Miners will be playing the Florence Freedom for the first game of a three game series.
Social Saturday's sponsored by Withers Broadcasting- June 22
On Saturday the Miners will be recognizing Murphysboro Community Night, Shriners Night and Nubability Night. For Nubability Night there will be "Glow in the Dark" kickball after the game.
The first 500 kids will eat free at each Saturday home game courtesy of Pagliai's Pizza and Pasta.
Family Fun Sunday sponsored by WSIL-3- June 23
Sunday the Miners recognize Herrin Community. Sunday is the last game against Florence Freedom.
Sunday is Family Fun Day at Rent One Park. All kids 12 and under can become a free kids club member and get into every Sunday home game for free!
The Southern Illinois Miners are the 2012 Frontier League Champions and have been awarded the Frontier League Organization of the Year three times since its inception. It has also set a new Frontier League attendance record in 2007.
