Erie Otters News Release
ERIE, PA - The Otters returned to home ice on Sunday afternoon to face the London Knights for the second time in three days. London wasted no time and got on the board just a few minutes in with a goal from Kevin Hancock to put them ahead early. This proved to be a trend, as the Knights would add first period goals from Alex Formenton, Paul Cotter, and Evan Bouchard to end the first period ahead 4-0.
In the second, London would add two goals to their lead to make it 6-0, but Jamie Drysdale would break the ice for Erie with his sixth tally of the season to get the Otters on the board. London answered back with two late goals from Adam Boqvist and Josh Nelson to make it 8-1 heading in to the final frame.
In the third, Erie found scoring from Alex Gritz, Joe Mack, Mathew MacDougall, and Chad Yetman to come within three of tying, but it would prove to be too little, too late and London would take this one 8-5.
The Otters will be back in action on Friday, February 22 when they travel to Guelph, Ontario to take on the Storm at 7:30PM.
