
Otters Can't Solve Paterson in 3-0 Loss

Erie, PA - The Erie Otters were stymied by Jake Paterson and the Saginaw Spirit, who shutout the Otters 3-0 in front of 3,814 fans at Tullio Arena Saturday night.
Paterson made 40 saves for the Spirit, and has stopped 83 of 84 shots against the Otters in two starts this season.
Brandon Saad led the way for the Spirit as he factored on all three Spirit goals, scoring twice on the power play and assisting on a second period goal by Josh Shalla.
Rookie goaltender Devin Williams, a Saginaw native, played well for the Otters with 30 saves. The Otters outshot the Spirit, 40-33.
