Otters and Knights tie

LONDON, Ontario – Tomas Galasek and Chris Campoli scored to lead the ERIE OTTERS to a 2-2 tie against the London Knights in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 8,207 at the John Labatt Centre.

Scott Sheppard and Brandon Prust replied for the Knights. Both goals came on power play with Prust's scored with less than seven remaining to secure a tie for the Knights.

Josh Disher was the star of the game with a 54-save performance.

The OTTERS moved to 22-18-6-1 with the tie. The OTTERS are only the third team this season to escape from the John Labatt Centre with a point, as London was 19-2 on home ice heading into the game. London is 34-9-2-2.

The two teams were tied at one after one. Campoli, with his 13th of the season, put the OTTERS ahead 2-1 heading into the third. Geoff Platt and Rob Hisey assisted on the Campoli goal to extend their point-scoring streak to eight and nine game respectively.

The Knights out shot the OTTERS 56-41 in the game. The three stars of the game were 1. Disher; 2. Dylan Hunter (two assists) and 3. Prust.

The OTTERS return to action Thursday and Friday with road games in Peterborough and Oshawa respectively. Both games can be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company). Thursday's game against the Petes begins with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m. Friday against the Generals the pre-game show gets underway at 7:20 p.m.

The next OTTERS home game takes place this Saturday when the Sarnia Sting visit the Tullio Arena for a 7:30 p.m. start. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office.
