OTTAWA - The Can-Am League released its 2018 schedule Monday morning, with a slate of marquee games on the horizon for the Ottawa Champions.

The schedule is available online at www.canamleague.com.

For the second straight season, the Champions will open the 2018 campaign against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles. The season-opening set is part of a six-game homestand that also features the New Jersey Jackals.

The league also continues to bring an international flavour to its regular season schedule - two international teams will return to RCGT Park in back-to-back series June 8-10 and June 19-21.

The teams will be announced later in the offseason.

New Jersey returns to Ottawa on July 1 as part of Canada Day weekend. They'll play a special three-game series that culminates with Canada Day festivities at RCGT Park.

The Champions face the Rockland Boulders in a rematch of the 2016 Can-Am League Championship series for the first time at home on August 9. The two teams will also finish the season against each other for the second straight year.
