ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Pride and midfielder Ally Lemos have agreed to a contract that will keep her in Orlando through the 2025 season, it was announced today. Lemos was selected in the First Round, No. 9 overall, in the 2024 NWSL Draft by the Pride.

"We drafted Ally knowing she has the potential to come in and make a difference for us on the field," VP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter said. "She is a young player, and we are investing in her development over time, but she has already demonstrated notable maturity in how she studies the game and in her approach to training and off-the-field priorities. She's demonstrated she knows how to win championships at the collegiate level, and we are confident our veteran leadership and staff will help her successfully transition into the professional game."

"This is a very special opportunity and one I will never, ever take for granted. This team and organization are incredible, and it is everything I want to be a part of," Lemos said. "I will give everything I have and give everything I can contribute to help bring the City Beautiful a championship."

Lemos played collegiately at the University of California, Los Angeles and made a lasting impression during her two seasons there. She started in all 44 matches that she appeared in and recorded three goals to go along with 11 assists during her Bruins career. In her freshman season in 2022, she led the team and all of the Pac-12 conference with nine assists, which earned her second-team All-Pacific Region Honors.

During the 2022 season, Lemos also provided the game-tying assist with 16 seconds remaining in the NCAA Championship match. The Bruins would go on and win the match in extra time, becoming 2022 NCAA National Champions.

In the 2023 campaign, the Glendora, Calif. native earned first-team All-Pac-12 and All-Pacific Region honors as she led all Bruins in minutes played. She also scored two goals and collected two assists during her sophomore season. Lemos also became the fourth-youngest draftee in NWSL history.

On an international level, Lemos has attended U.S. National Team training camps from U-14 through U-20, and represented the United States with the U-20s at the 2023 Concacaf Championships and with the U-16s at the EUFA Tournament in England.
