Kansas City Current News Release
KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current announced a one-year partnership with Visit Missouri as an Official Partner of the Current. Kansas City, Missouri has been highlighted as a top travel destination in 2024 by The New York Times and Wall Street Journal in large part due to the opening of CPKC Stadium, the first purpose-built stadium for a women's professional sports team.
"With the Current moving into its new home inside CPKC Stadium at Berkley Riverfront Park in Kansas City, Missouri, it's only fitting that this partnership comes to fruition and we're excited to announce our partnership with Visit Missouri," said Vice President of Marketing Jocelyn Monroe. "The Current, both on and off the pitch, are a reason to visit our city and experience Missouri. We want worldwide soccer fans and travelers that aren't soccer fans to put a Current match and a visit to CPKC Stadium on their itineraries and their bucket lists."
"We are excited to partner with the Kansas City Current in 2024 as the CPKC Stadium opens," said Stephen Foutes, Missouri Division of Tourism director. "The stadium is a monumental victory for women's sports, and we know it will be a can't-miss destination in Kansas City for all sports lovers. Together with the Kansas City Current, we will showcase Missouri's vibrant spirit, our wide array of vacation destinations and, of course, our enthusiastic support for our home teams."
As an Official Partner of the Kansas City Current, Visit Missouri will receive in-stadium digital signage, opportunities to interact with fans on CPKC Plaza, social posts and commercial spots during KC Current Radio broadcasts. To find out more about Visit Missouri go to VisitMO.com.
A limited number of single-game tickets for 2024 regular season matches will go on sale to Current Club members the week of Feb. 5. Current Club members get priority access to 2024 single match tickets and be allowed to add their names to the waitlist for future season ticket availability.
