
Orlando City SC Signs Pro FIFA Player Javier Méndez

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City SC has signed eSports Athlete Javier "JMendez17_" Méndez to represent the Club in eMLS and the FIFA 22 Global Series, it was announced today.
Méndez, 22, is ranked as a Top 8 PlayStation player in the United States. The Havana, Cuba native ranked 17 in North America for FIFA 21 Global Series (FGS) on PlayStation. This year's eMLS competition has expanded to include 28 teams with the addition of Charlotte FC.
"Playing for Orlando City, for me it represents a dream that I've had since I started playing FIFA in 2011 because since I started I've wanted to be the best in competition," Méndez said. "I saw eMLS on TV and knew that this was a great opportunity."
