
Orlando City, Orlando Pride Play in Respective Preseason Scrimmages

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City and Orlando Pride both took to the pitch on Friday afternoon in a pair of preseason scrimmages ahead of the start of their respective 2022 campaigns.
The Lions battled to a 2-2 draw against fellow MLS side FC Cincinnati, with goals coming from forwards Alexandre Pato and Tesho Akindele, with just over one week remaining until the side's season opener, presented by Orlando Health, against CF Montréal on Sunday, Feb. 27 at Exploria Stadium.
Orlando Pride traveled to nearby University of Central Florida for its first test of the preseason, seeing 1-1 result against the Knights. Forward Sydney Leroux scored the Pride's goal on the afternoon. The team will turn its attention to its next preseason scrimmage, scheduled for Feb. 25 against the University of South Florida.
