Houston Dash FW Ryan Gareis Signs Two-Year Contract

The Houston Dash signed forward Ryan Gareis to a two-year contract, the club announced today.
Gareis was drafted by the Dash in the fourth round of the 2022 NWSL Draft and was Houston's only selection in the event. The Naperville, Illinois native joined the Dash earlier this month for the 2022 NWSL preseason at Houston Sports Park.
The 23-year-old played collegiately at the University of South Carolina where she appeared in 99 matches throughout her career with the Gamecocks and started 70 games. Gareis scored four goals and tallied nine assists during her final season in South Carolina. The forward earned several awards in college including multiple SEC Offensive Player of the Week awards and CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team honors as a senior.
Gareis and the Dash will continue to prepare for the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup next week with the first friendly of the preseason of the year. The Dash kickoff the competitive year on March 20 against the Chicago Red Stars at PNC Stadium.
