
Orioles designate Rogers for assignment

Ottawa - The Baltimore Orioles designated Lynx IF Ed Rogers for assignment today, meaning he will not be active for the Lynx. The Orioles have ten days to do one of the following things: trade him, release him, or put him on waivers and, provided he clears waivers, outright him to the minors.
In 83 games with the Lynx this season, Rogers is hitting .303 with 5 HR and 29 RBI. He has also stolen 12 bases and scored 38 runs with the Triple-A Lynx. In 17 games spread out over three stints with the parent Orioles this season, Rogers hit .192 with 2 RBI.
