Tribe returns home with division title on the line

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis wraps up its 2006 home slate with a pair of weekend games against Louisville. The Indians and Bats will square off on Friday (Sept. 1) at 7 p.m. and Saturday (Sept. 2) at 5:30 p.m.

The series will have International League playoff implications for both teams. Indianapolis (74-64) and Toledo (74-64) are tied for first place in the IL's West Division entering Thursday's action, while Louisville (73-66) is just 1.5 games back.

Fri., Sept. 1 -- Louisville @ 7:00 p.m.

Friday Night Fireworks -- Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks spectacular courtesy of Pepsi, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc., and X-103.

Sat., Sept. 2 -- Louisville @ 5:30 p.m.

Home Finale -- The Indians face division-rival Louisville in their final regular-season home game of 2006. The game will have playoff implications for both clubs, so it's one you don't want to miss.

Team Awards Night -- Five End-of-the-Year player awards will given away during a special pre-game ceremony. The Tribe's August Player of the Month and 2006 Most Valuable Player will also be recognized.

Clifford & Arthur Appearance -- Clifford and Arthur stop by Victory Field courtesy of Clarian Health Partners and WFYI-TV. The friendly characters will pose for pictures beginning in the fourth inning.

TV Giveaway Night -- Ten lucky fans will win a television courtesy of RCA.

SkyConcert -- White River State Park will play host to HANK-FM's annual SkyConcert. Fans will be invited down to the Victory Field playing surface to view the SkyConcert's fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
