Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 20, 2009, as the Oregon Ducks will take on the two-time National Champions, Oregon State Beavers, in a baseball game at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer.
The game, billed as The Civil War I-5 Iris Festival Classic, will start at 7:00pm with gates opening at 5:30pm, and will be part of Keizer's month long Iris Festival celebration. It is also the final scheduled game between the teams in 2009, and could be the deciding game in the Civil War 2009 series.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 9:00 am. Ticket prices range from $20.00 for upper and lower box seats, $15.00 for reserved seats and $10.00 for outfield seating. They can be purchased in person at Volcanoes Stadium, by calling the Volcanoes Stadium ticket office at 503-390-2225 ext. 3007, or online at www.volcanoestickets.com
In March, the teams played two games at PGE Park in Portland, averaging 14,624 fans per game! With a capacity of 5,500, Volcanoes Stadium is sure to fill up quickly for this important game.
