SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are excited to announce the schedule of events that will take place on Thursday, April 4 for Opening Night at Arvest Ballpark when the Naturals play host to the Springfield Cardinals, the Double-A St. Louis Cardinals, at 6:35 p.m. It marks the fourth consecutive season where the Naturals have opened up the season at home.
Gates will open to the public at 5:00 p.m. for the home opener that will feature a Naturals' Hall of Fame induction, a 2019 Magnet Schedule Giveaway for the first 2,000 fans in attendance, and an Opening Night Post-Game Fireworks Spectacular, which will conclude the night. Opening Night is presented by Rath Auto Resources and Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.
The Opening Night festivities will include the following:
- Naturals Hall of Fame Induction - During a pre-game ceremony, the Naturals will induct the newest member of the Naturals' Hall of Fame. Nominees for the honor include 1B Kila Ka'aihue, INF Whit Merrifield, and OF Wil Myers.
- Pre-Game Performance by Root Elementary
- The National Anthem by the 2nd-5th grade StarShine Honor Choir from Willis D. Shaw Elementary School
- God Bless America will be performed by The Quapaw Band
- Special Guests include Kansas City Royals' owner David Glass and Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse
- Full Introductions of both the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and the Springfield Cardinals - The Field Staff, Reserves, and Starters of both teams will be announced and brought to the baselines prior to the National Anthem.
- Opening Night Teacher Recognitions - The Naturals will be honoring eight (8) local teachers prior to the start of the game, whom were nominated to receive this recognition by their school district. One (1) teacher will represent the following school districts: Springdale; Fayetteville; Rogers; Bentonville; Farmington; Prairie Grove; Siloam Springs; Huntsville. The teachers will be announced and they'll accompany a player to the foul line during the starting lineups.
- Thirsty Thursday -Thirsty Thursday features $1 Farm Rich Mozzarella Sticks & 12 oz. Coca-Cola Fountain Drinks as well as $2 Bags of Peanuts & 16oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon Drafts for only $2 at specific locations on the concourse.
Single game tickets can now be purchased at the Arvest Ballpark Box Office, online at www.nwanaturals.com/tickets, calling us at (479) 927-4900, or by visiting our Administrative Office at the ballpark. Ticket prices (excluding special events) are as follows:
- Home Plate Super Premium - $13.75 ($14.75 on day of game)
- Dugout Super Premium - $12.75 ($13.75 on day of game)
- Dugout Premium - $10.75 ($11.75 on day of game)
- 1B/3B Reserved - $8.75 ($9.75 on day of game)
- Tylenol Grass Berm/General Admission - $7.75 ($8.75 on day of game)
Children 12 and under and adults over 65 years of age receive $1 off the purchase of individual game tickets. Active and retired military will receive a $1 ticket discount in-person at the Arvest Ballpark Box Office by presenting the proper identification.
