Opening Acts Set for John Michael Montgomery Concert

The Hagerstown Suns have announced the opening acts for the John Michael Montgomery concert that will take place at Municipal Stadium on July 5th. Shannon Lawson and Possum Holler will perform prior to John Michael Montgomery taking the stage.

Shannon Lawson, one of the nation's most popular up and coming country singers, released his debut CD earlier this year. Lawson's CD, entitled "Chase the Sun," features the hit single "Goodbye on a Bad Day." Possum Holler is a popular regional country music band that is well-known and enjoyed throughout the Hagerstown area and beyond.

Gates for the show will open at 5:30 p.m., with Possum Holler performing from approximately 6:30 to 7:00 and Shannon Lawson from approximately 7:00 to 8:00. John Michael Montgomery is scheduled to start at approximately 8:00. The show will also be followed by a fireworks extravaganza sponsored by WAYZ 104.7 FM "Today's Hottest Country"!

Seating is first come, first served. As there are a limited number of tickets available, fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased in four ways: (1) in person at the Suns offices, located at 274 E. Memorial Boulevard, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, (2) by calling the Suns offices at 301/791-6266 or 800/538-9967, (3) by visiting the Valley Mall's Guest Service Center, located in the food court, during mall hours (M-Th, 10-9; F-Sa, 10-9:30; Su, 11-5); or (4) by logging on to www.hagerstownsuns.com. The Suns will honor cash, Visa or Mastercard; the Valley Mall will only accept cash.

Ticket prices are $20 for on-field seating. General admission seats are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children 12 and under. As this is a special event, only tickets for the concert itself will be honored.

The Hagerstown Suns of the South Atlantic League are the Class A affiliate of the National League Champion San Francisco Giants. The Suns' regular season runs through September 1st. Ticket packages and sponsorships are available by calling 301/791-6266.
