Lexington Legends News Release
LEXINGTON, Ky. â The Houston Astros announced the promotion of infielder, Franmig Pedrique to Class A Lexington, of the South Atlantic League. The Venezuelan native was signed as a free agent on November 27 of 2002. Pedrique will make his professional debut with the Lexington Legends.
The move was prompted by the retirement of Jon Helquist. The former Legend had been reassigned to Lexington after the promotion of second baseman, Brooks Conrad to the Salem Avalanche.
