Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

The Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Chattanooga State Tigers, 8-0, in a seven-inning exhibition game at AT&T Field.

Fueled by the number one overall prospect Byron Buxton and first baseman DJ Hicks, the Lookouts' offense got off to a fast start. After a stellar catch by Tigers' centerfielder Hunter Parker, Hicks got the Lookouts on the board with a two-run home run.

In the second inning Buxton recorded his first hit in a Lookouts' uniform when he smacked a two-run single to give the team a four-run lead.

Four more runs were tacked on by the Lookouts in the third inning on a two-run double by Adam Brett Walker, a sac fly by Levi Michael and a RBI single by Hicks.

The Lookouts' regular season begins on Thursday, April 9 against the Montgomery Biscuits on the road and the team makes their home debut on Wednesday, April 15 against the Birmingham Barons. Tickets to Lookouts Baseball presented by FSG Bank are available now online and by calling the box office at 423-267-4TIX.
