Brooks Hall to Make Opening Night Start on Thursday

Pensacola, FL - The Biloxi Shuckers begin their inaugural season on Thursday night at 6:30 PM in Pensacola, FL and 6-5, right-hander Brooks Hall will make the Opening Night start. The 24-year-old Hall went 2-1 with a 2.77 ERA in five starts for Huntsville in 2014. He missed the rest of the season with right elbow irritation. He bounced back in the fall and made two starts for the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League posting a 1-0 record with a 3.38 ERA in eight games, two starts. He was added to Milwaukee's major league 40-man roster on November 20, 2014.

This will be Hall's second straight Opening Day start with the Brewers' Double-A affiliate, dropping Huntsville's opener in Jacksonville on April 3, 2014. Hall allowed two runs on six hits in 4.0 innings during the 3-1 loss at Jacksonville . Hall will be making his fourth career start against Pensacola (0-0, 2.77) and second at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium (last 7/19/13). The rest of the Shuckers' rotation for the five-game set against the Blue Wahoos will be announced later.

Biloxi Shuckers Upcoming Schedule:

Wednesday: Team workout at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium at 3 PM

Thursday: Opening Night at Pensacola (RHP Brooks Hall vs. TBA) with first pitch at 6:30 PM (Biloxi Mayor Kenny Glavan to throw out first pitch)

Friday-Monday: Series continues each day in Pensacola

Tuesday: Meet the Shuckers event at Coast Restaurant in Beau Rivage from 7-9 PM (Shuckers first trip to Biloxi)

Thursday's season opener can be heard on 1240-AM WGCM and the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network, with live coverage beginning from Bayfront Stadium in Pensacola at 6:15 PM. Fans will be able to listen to games for free at biloxishuckers.com and by using the TuneIn Radio app on their mobile, desktop or home devices. The five-game series in Pensacola will also be available on MiLB.TV, a subscription-based service provided by Minor League Baseball.
