Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Celebrate Opening Night Tonight vs. Texas

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Texas Stars tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tonight is the first of four regular-season meetings between the two teams.
Protect This House: The Reign celebrate the 2016-17 home opener this evening at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Last season, the Reign went 22-8-3-1 on home ice. Celebrate with $2 Bud Light Fridays! Buy Tickets
Pacific-Division Rivals: Last season, the Reign went 6-0-0-0 against the Stars. Forward Sean Backman (four goals, five assists) and Nic Dowd (one goal, eight assists) led the Reign against the Stars with nine points each. Dowd, who is currently with the Kings, scored his first NHL goal last night against the Dallas Stars, NHL affiliate of Texas.
Familiar Face: Former Ontario Reign defenseman Nick Ebert resides on the Stars roster rolling into tonight's contest. Ebert skated in 44 games with the Reign last season scoring two goals and 10 assists for 12 points. Ebert was traded to Dallas by the Kings in exchange for goalie Jack Campbell on June 25. Full Story
Eyes of Texas are Upon You: The Reign take on the Stars in three of the next four games including tonight. After meeting San Jose tomorrow evening, the Reign travel to Cedar Park, Texas to visit the Stars on October 28 and 29.
