ONEOK Field to Host CrossFit Competition

The Tulsa Drillers and CrossFit T-Town are excited to announce the inaugural staging of "Battle at the Ballpark" CrossFit competition to be held at ONEOK Field on September 19 and 20, 2014. This unique outdoor, team, CrossFit competition will feature 100 teams comprised of two males and two females competing in three different divisions: Prescribed, Scaled and Masters.
During this two day competition teams will vie for prizes by completing different "Hero" WOD's (Workout of the Day) as well as various skills competitions. Fans will enjoy the intimate and comfortable environment of ONEOK Field for viewing the on-field competition on Friday, September 19 (5:00pm-9:00pm) and Saturday, September 20 (8:00am-8:00pm). With unparalleled amenities at ONEOK Field, teams will enjoy spacious men's and women's locker rooms, team staging facilities and a hospitality room. This year's event will benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation as the Tulsa Drillers, CrossFit T-Town and Battle at the Ballpark teams attempt to raise $10,000 to fund scholarships for the two sons of local hero LaGrand Strickland. Strickland and his family are from Owasso, OK. Make a Donation Today
Registration for Battle at the Ballpark will be $250 per team with open registration beginning July 15th, 2014 at 9:00am at BattleattheBallpark.com. Teams registering before July 23 will enjoy a discounted $225 registration fee. For competitors traveling from outside of the Tulsa area Battle at the Ballpark has partnered with DoubleTree Downtown and Hyatt Regency Tulsa to offer discounted, downtown hotel accommodations for the duration of the event. Drawing on the vast experience of the CrossFit T-Town team of coaches and veteran CrossFitters, Battle at the Ballpark looks to include many of the regions' top teams, each vying for more than $10,000 in cash and prizes. The Crossfit T-Town team has partnered with Dennis Berry, Head Coach of CrossFit Huntsville, to create a unique event format that will keep competitors and teams coming back for years to come.
