OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League have received forward Miroslav Šatan Jr and a 2025 Phase I 8th Round Pick from the Sioux Falls Stampede in exchange for a 2025 Phase I 3rd Round Draft Pick and a 2025 Phase II 6th Round Draft Pick.
Šatan hails from East Amherst, NY and is a 2024 7th Round NHL Draft Pick of the Washington Capitals, selected 212th overall. He has 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) through 20 games this season and also represented Slovakia at the 2025 World Junior Championship. His father, Miroslav Šatan Sr. played 1,050 NHL games for the Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins. Šatan Sr is a 2009 Stanley Cup Champion with Pittsburgh.
