Omaha Beef Sign Former Nebraska Cornhuskers

Omaha, NE: The Omaha Beef have announced the signing of two former Nebraska Cornhuskers, Marlon Lucky and Rickey Thenarse.

Marlon Lucky (RB) stands 6 foot and weighs 215 pounds. Lucky played four seasons (2005-2008) at Nebraska and compiled 4,214 all-purpose yards, fourth-most in school history. He played 50 games, with 29 starts, and averaged 4.6 yards per carry while rushing for 2,393 yards and 22 touchdowns. He had 135 receptions for 1,379 yards and 4 touchdowns, which rank him fourth all-time at Nebraska, and his 75 catches in 2007 are a Huskers record. In 2009, the Cincinnati Bengals signed Lucky as an undrafted free agent. In 2011, he signed with the Omaha Nighthawks (UFL).

Ricky Thenarse (SS) stands 6 foot and weighs 185 pounds. He is a recent graduate of Nebraska, leaving just recently in 2010. He finished his college career with 106 tackles (57 solo, 49 assists), 6 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions for 72 yards and 1 touchdown. He continued his career and signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2011 as an undrafted free agent.

Omaha Beef Head Coach, Bruce Cowdrey, said "to get two players of the quality and background of Lucky and Thenarse is exciting.
