Omaha Beef Resign Veteran Quartback James McNear

Ralston, NE - The Omaha Beef today officially announced the signing of a key player from the 2012 campaign as they announce the return of quarterback James McNear.

McNear, the 6'2", 180 lb quarterback out of Concordia University is the heart and soul of this Omaha Beef football team. James finished last season with 2297 yards passing with 44 Touchdowns. McNear is no stranger to putting up big numbers was the 2002 NSIC Offensive Newcomer Of The Year as well as the 2003 and 2005 NSIC Offensive Player of the Year. He is second in Career Total Yardage with a net of over 8,900 yards.

Omaha head coach Andy Yost is excited to bring back a veteran for a successful season. "We are counting on James for his leadership and experience he brings our team," Yost said. "We continue to assemble the 2013 team, and anticipate many other familiar faces to be officially added to the Beef. That's provides great continuity for us on the field, and we know our loyal fans are eager to welcome these guys back."
