Omaha Beef Reach Playoffs for 12th Straight Year

May 27, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Omaha Beef News Release

Omaha - With Omaha's 48-29 victory over the Chicago Slaughter this past weekend the BEEF have qualified for the Indoor Football League playoffs. This marks the 12th straight year the Beef have made the playoffs, an indoor football record.

The Omaha BEEF began their first season of play in 2000 and have participated in four different leagues, making the playoffs each and every year. Their record in the playoffs is 2-11 however, with their only wins coming in the 2003 and 2004 season. This year's BEEF team looks to turn that playoff record around however.

This week the BEEF are on the road to face the Nebraska Danger. After that they finish up the regular season with a game on the road against the Wyoming Cavalry, and then return home to the Slaughterhouse to face off against the undefeated Sioux Falls Storm. Omaha (7-4) can still secure a home playoff game depending on how they fare in their final three games.

The BEEF are celebrating their 12th year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, Nebraska. All home games kick off at 7:05pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Omaha Beef are a member of the Indoor Football League, the premier indoor football league in America. The Omaha Beef are committed to making a positive difference in the Omaha area through football, fun, and community service.
