
Olivia Moultrie Named to U.S. U-20 Wynt Roster for 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC midfielder Olivia Moultrie has been named to the 21-player U.S. U-20 Women's Youth National Team roster for the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica from Aug. 10-28.
Moultrie, 16, helped guide the U.S. to the U-20 Concacaf W Championship as the team posted a 7-0-0 record in the tournament. The Portland midfielder has made seven appearances with the U-20s, tallying two goals. With Thorns FC during the 2022 season, Moultrie has appeared in eight games (4 starts), tallying two goals and two assists in regular season play.
Playing in Group D, the U.S. opens the tournament on Aug. 11 against Ghana at 10 a.m. (Pacific) on FS2. The U-20s will then square off against the Netherlands on Aug. 14 at 4 p.m. (Pacific) on FS1 and then conclude the group stage against Japan on Aug. 17 at 4 p.m. (Pacific) on FS2.
The top two finishers in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 20 and Sunday, Aug. 21. The winners of those matches will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, Aug. 25. The Championship game and third-place match will be played on Sunday, Aug. 28. All of the matches will be broadcast on the FOX Sports family of networks.
