Seattle Reign FC News Release
SEATTLE, WA. - Ahead of the 2023 season, OL Reign is excited to expand its team of technical staff. The technical staff team has expanded to 17 staff members, attracting talented individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experience.
The technical staff will continue to be led by three-time NWSL Coach of the Year Laura Harvey. Harvey will be joined by Head Assistant Coach Scott Parkinson, as announced earlier this month. Parkinson brings a plethora of coaching experience at many levels and holds a USSF Pro coaching license, in addition to USSF A and UEFA B licenses.
"We are really excited to see the positive development within our team of technical staff this season," said OL Reign general manager Nick Perera. "Each member brings their unique talent to the team, and I believe the staff we have assembled for the upcoming season will truly elevate our operational standards on the field and off of it. Everyone here is focused on providing our players with the best experience possible."
Four new technical staff members will be joining the team - Assistant Coach Kate Norton, Head Athletic Trainer Jordan Carmosino, Equipment Manager Labno and Video Analyst Kevin Pineda.
Norton brings experience as the Director of Coaching for the U13-U19 Girls' program at PacNW Soccer Club, as well as the Director of the Surf Development Academy program in San Diego. Her coaching experience includes time with the University of Arizona women's soccer team and U18 and U20 U.S. Youth National Team as an assistant coach. Norton holds a USSF A License and a USSF Youth National Coaching License.
Carmosino, an experienced athletic trainer, has an extensive background in sports medicine with skills in athletic training, sports performance, and injury rehabilitation. He has a Doctorate from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, with a concentration in Athletic Training. Previously, Carmosino worked as the Head Athletic Trainer for Case Western Reserve University and USL 2 and WSPL side Dayton Dutch Lions F.C.
Labno makes his return to the Reign after working as the Equipment Operations Manager from 2013-2016. After departing the Reign in 2016, he continued with U.S. Soccer as an Operations Specialist and has worked as the Equipment Operations Manager for Orlando City Soccer Club.
Pineda currently holds his USSF B License and has nearly a decade of coaching experience at various levels, including a stint with the Loyola Marymount University women's soccer team. At LMU, Pineda was involved with recruiting, coaching, scouting, video analysis, marketing and branding, and curriculum development. Prior to LMU, Pineda served as the head coach for Beach FC Girls 2004 and 2005 academy teams, as well as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Harbor College Women's Soccer program.
