Boggs: Surrendered 4 R on 9 H over 5.0 IP with 4 K & 2 BB in 8/27 ND vs. IWA (6-4 MEM)
LAST GAME: Travis Metcalf drove it seven of Oklahoma's runs in a 10-7 win at Memphis Sunday night. Metcalf hit a fourth inning grand slam to give the RedHawks a 4-2 lead at the time, and added three insurance runs in the ninth with a his second home run of the game. Jose Diaz allowed Memphis to tie the game in the eighth and was charged with a blown save, but earned the win. In addition to Metcalf, four other RedHawks had multi-hit games, while Nate Gold and Chris Shelton each drove in a run.
WINNING THE HARD WAY: Oklahoma's pitching staff has blown 15 save opportunities this season, but the club has gone on the win ten of those games. The RedHawks have won four straight games when a reliever blows a save, and nine of their last ten in that same situation.
QUITE THE CROWD:
18,620 Redbird fans took in last night's game in Memphis. It was the largest crowd that Oklahoma had played in front of this season, surpassing the 15,759 in attendance on July 24 in Salt Lake. The RedHawks third largest audience this season was also in Memphis, when Oklahoma outlasted the Redbirds 4-3 in ten innings on May 17.
RECALLED:
Taylor Teagarden was recalled by the Rangers earlier today. The catcher had just returned from the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics last Monday, and hit .125 over the past seven days. Teagarden is batting .225 over 57 Triple-A games this season, and heads to Texas for his second stint with the Rangers this season. He Had his contract purchased by Texas on 7/18 and hit .167 with a home run and a run batted in over two games. Kevin Richardson was activated from the disabled list to fill the vacant roster spot.
ACTIVATED, PLAYS, AND GOES:
German Duran was activated from the Disabled List prior to yesterday's action. The infielder had been on the RedHawks Disabled List since July 24. Duran injured his thumb while sliding into second during the third innings of Oklahoma's July 22 7-4 win at Salt Lake and had surgery a few days after. Duran was recalled by Texas this morning.
PLAYOFF ROTATION SET:
Elizardo Ramirez is slated to start game one of the American Conference Championship Series on Wednesday at Iowa. Tommy Hunter will follow in game two, and Brian Gordon, just activated from the disabled list yesterday is scheduled to start game three at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark on Friday. Doug Mathis and Michael Ballard would face the I-Cubs on Saturday and Sunday if needed.
AMERICAN SOUTH CHAMPIONS:
The RedHawks clinched the American South division title on August 23. Oklahoma has been in or tied for first since April 7, and was the first club to clinch its division in the Pacific Coast League this season. This title is the fifth in RedHawks history (1999, 2002, 2004, & 2005) and the tenth in Oklahoma City Triple-A history (including seven in the PCL and three in the American Association).

The new Oklahoma City RedHawks logo and color scheme will be unveiled September 15... Casey Benjamin extended his on-base streak to a current team-high 12 games last night... Ryan Roberts has hit safely in his last eight games, dating back to August 22... Derek Lee and Adam Fox were transferred off Oklahoma's roster to clear space for Brian Gordon and German Duran on Sunday, and Fox was added back today when Duran was recalled.

Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand. Fox Sports Radio AM 1340 in Oklahoma City will serve as the flagship station in 2008. The network affiliates this season are KSIW 1450 AM in Woodward, KXCA 1380 AM in Lawton, KPNS 1350 AM in Duncan, KTJS 1420 AM in Hobart, KGFF 1450 AM in Shawnee, and KWSH 1260 AM in Wewoka.
